Overview

The Lenovo V155-15 is a budget 15.6-inch laptop built for everyday office and study tasks. In this configuration, it uses an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U processor, integrated Radeon Vega 3 graphics, 4 GB of RAM, and a 128 GB SSD. The model focuses on practical use, with a matte Full HD display, a full-size keyboard with numpad, and a webcam privacy shutter.

Design and Build

The chassis uses plastic and keeps a simple business style. The lid can open up to 180 degrees, which is useful for flexible desk positions. At 2.2 kg, this is not the lightest 15.6-inch notebook, but it is still portable enough for regular travel between home, class, and office.

Display, Audio, and Webcam

The matte 15.6-inch Full HD panel helps reduce glare, and the narrow side bezels make the screen area feel more modern. The TN panel type limits viewing angles and brightness, so outdoor visibility is not a strong point. Stereo speakers with Dolby Audio are sufficient for calls and background media, and the 720p webcam includes a physical privacy shutter.

Keyboard and Input

A full-size island-style keyboard with a numeric keypad supports long typing sessions and data entry work. The layout is standard and easy to learn. The touchpad responds reliably for pointing, scrolling, and basic gestures.

Performance and Daily Use

The Ryzen 3 3200U and Radeon Vega 3 combination is aimed at web work, documents, online meetings, and light multimedia tasks. The 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD are enough for basic use, but both can feel limiting for heavier multitasking or larger local file libraries. The laptop ships with DOS, so users need to install Windows or Linux.

Ports and Battery Life

Connectivity includes HDMI, RJ-45, two USB 3.1 ports, and a combo audio jack, plus Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. The port set is functional, though two USB ports can be restrictive if multiple peripherals are connected at once. The 36 Wh battery is rated in the source review for roughly 3.5 to 4 hours of web or streaming use with reduced brightness.

Verdict

The Lenovo V155-15 is a practical budget machine for students and office users who need core productivity features at a reasonable price. Its main strengths are the usable keyboard, matte Full HD screen, SSD storage, and privacy shutter. The main compromises are limited memory/storage in this configuration, basic display characteristics, and a modest port count.
