Design and Build
The chassis uses plastic panels in Arctic Grey with a matte finish that helps hide fingerprints and dust. The design is clean and restrained, suitable for office or home use. Build quality is generally good for this class, although the base area is not the most resistant to twisting under pressure.
Display, Audio, and Webcam
The 17.3-inch Full HD IPS panel uses a matte surface, so reflections are controlled in normal indoor lighting. Viewing angles are wide, and image quality is strong enough for everyday visual work and casual content editing. The speaker system delivers clear sound, but depth is limited at higher volumes. The 1 MP webcam is acceptable for calls, while the privacy shutter is a useful practical feature.
Keyboard and Touchpad
Thanks to the large chassis, the keyboard area is spacious and includes a dedicated numpad. Key size and spacing support comfortable long typing sessions, and key feedback is predictable. The touchpad surface is smooth and responsive for standard navigation and multi-touch gestures. A fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button adds fast sign-in and basic hardware-level convenience.
Performance
For everyday work, the Core i5-1135G7 and Intel Iris Xe Graphics combination handles browser multitasking, office apps, media playback, and light content work without issue. The 8 GB RAM and SSD setup keeps the system responsive in regular use. This hardware can run some older or lighter games at low settings, but the main strength is balanced daily productivity.
Connectivity and Battery
The laptop provides practical port coverage on both sides, including USB Type-C, USB 3.2, HDMI, SD card reader, and a combo audio jack. There is no built-in wired Ethernet port, so internet access relies on Wi-Fi 6. With a 45 Wh battery, the reviewed configuration delivers around 8-9 hours in light web and video scenarios, around 6-6.5 hours in mixed use, and significantly less under gaming load. Fast charging support can restore most of the charge in about an hour.
Verdict
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3-17 17ITL6 is a sensible choice for users who want a large display, a comfortable keyboard, and dependable day-to-day performance at a reasonable level. Its main strengths are screen size, usability, and balanced hardware for common tasks. The key compromises are modest chassis rigidity in the base area and a basic webcam. For home-office routines and general multimedia use, it remains a practical 17-inch option.
