Editor note: This English article is an original adaptation of a Notebook-Center.ru review, prepared by the Notebook Center editorial team.
Overview
The Lenovo ThinkBook 15p is a 15.6-inch notebook aimed at small business users and budget-conscious creators. In this configuration, it combines a 4K matte IPS screen with an Intel Core i7-10750H, 16 GB RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q graphics. The model keeps a more affordable position than many ThinkPad-class devices, but some premium business and connectivity features are reduced.

Design and Build
The chassis uses aluminum and looks clean, with a two-tone lid finish. The overall construction feels solid for daily office movement, and the hinge is stable with one-hand opening. The key drawback is the lid stiffness: pressure on the cover can cause visible flex and screen distortion.
Display, Sound, and Webcam
The panel is a key strength. It delivers 4K resolution, around 600 nits peak brightness, and high contrast, making it usable even in bright conditions. Reported color coverage reaches 100% sRGB and 97% AdobeRGB, which is useful for editing work. The two speakers are acceptable for a medium-size room, while the 720p webcam is serviceable for calls but not very sharp.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The backlit island keyboard includes a numpad and standard key placement, so adaptation time is short. Key travel is relatively short but feedback is clear. The touchpad tracks smoothly, though it is smaller than expected for the available palm-rest area. The power button also integrates a fingerprint reader.
Performance and Thermals
With the Core i7-10750H and GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q, the ThinkBook 15p is positioned for mainstream creator workloads and mid-level graphics tasks. It can handle everyday office use, photo editing, and many practical content workflows. Cooling behavior is controlled: under load the chassis gets warm, while light use remains quiet and cool.
Ports and Battery Life
Physical connectivity covers core office needs, including HDMI, RJ-45, USB-A, and one USB-C, plus an SD reader. The limitation is the lack of more advanced modern options such as Thunderbolt. In the tested scenario, battery life was about 8 hours for web work at 150 nits and around 6 hours for HD video streaming.
Verdict
The Lenovo ThinkBook 15p is a practical choice for users who prioritize a high-quality 4K screen and competent performance without moving to premium pricing. Its main strengths are display quality and balanced hardware. The main compromises are limited next-generation I/O, a flexible lid, and a modest 57 Wh battery capacity.
